The method can recognize data of control signals by detecting one data bit for a plurality of determined times and recognizing the level of the data when transmitting the control signals between indoor and outdoor devices. The method includes the steps of: determining whether the operation started; determining whether the indoor temperature is higher than a predetermined temperature set by a controller; determining a frequency for driving a compressor according to a difference between the indoor temperature and the predetermined temperature when the indoor temperature is greater than the predetermined temperature; and sending the driving frequency for the compressor to the outdoor device from the indoor device at intervals between predetermined times set by the controller.
