<p>The machine may be used for putting covers on books. It has a magazine (5) containing cardboard or pasteboard book covers and a second magazine (16) containing book signatures ready for binding. The signatures are removed from the magazine one-by-one and are passed along a belt conveyor system (12,13,17,18) to a set of rollers which includes a glue-spreading roller (3) and a dispensing roller (4). A suction roller (11) brings the signatures round into contact with the glue and a further roller (2) brings them into contact with the covers.</p> |
