<p>The synchronous motor has a shaft (1) which rotates inside the hub (2) of a ventilation paddle (3). The hub has a central core to hold the shaft. The hub is made of moulded plastic, and has a shaped end section (6). The end section holds a flat spiral spring (9) with its central part wrapped around the drive shaft, and the outer section forming an elbow and slotted into a slot in the hub. The spring ensures that the hub coupling is rigid in the counter rotation direction, whilst being flexible in the rotation direction.</p> |
