This is a system consisting of two aluminium profiles, an outer one 1 and an inner one 2, both being linked via an intermediate profile 3 of plastic material in order to break the thermal bridge, provided with projections which engage with complementary "dovetail"-shaped guides 4 and 5 belonging to the two metal profiles. The interior profile 2 advantageously supports the entire weight of the glass plates. In addition, coupling between the profiles is achieved frontally by means of force-fitting. <IMAGE>
