Easily processed thermoplastic moulding composition for injection or extrusion blow moulding for electrical plugs

Thermoplastic moulding compositions contain: (a) 10-100 parts weight aromatic polycarbonate and/or aromatic polyester-carbonate; (b) 2-50 parts weight graft polymer of (b.1) 5-98 parts weight graft monomer(s) on (b.2) 2-95 parts weight elastomeric graft substrate(s), in which /} 70 wt.% of the rubber particles have a diameter > 180 nm; and (c) 0-70 parts weight thermoplastic resin comprising (c.1) vinyl (co)polymer(s) and/or (c.2) polyalkylene terephthalate(s). Also claimed are mouldings made from the compositions. Preferably the particle size distribution of the rubber particles is bimodal, with 20-70 wt.% > 300 nm in diameter and 30-80 wt.% with a diameter <= 180 nm. The graft polymer especially comprises 50-99 parts weight vinyl aromatic or 1-4 carbon (C) alkyl (meth)acrylate and 1-50 parts weight monomer(s) selected from vinyl cyanide, 1-8 C alkyl (meth)acrylates and ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids and their derivatives, e.g. anhydrides and imides, on diene rubber containing /} 30 wt.% styrene and/or acrylonitrile as comonomer. The thermoplastic resin is a copolymer of 50-90, especially 60-90 wt.% styrene, alpha -methylstyrene and/or methyl methacrylate and 10-50, especially 10-40 wt.% (meth)acrylonitrile, methyl methacrylate and/or maleic anhydride. The compositions contain 30-96 parts weight (a), 5-25 parts weight (b) and optionally 2-50 parts weight (c). They may also contain usual additives, especially stabilisers, pigments, mould release agents.
