A mechanism for disk loading and clamping is provided, which provides simple structure and reliable operation. The mechanism for disk loading and clamping includes a slider(10) mounted at one side of a chassis body(1), a slider driving means for sliding the slider(10), a selective driving means for selectively connecting and separating the slider(10) with and from the driving means, a clamping means for selectively rotating and stopping a guide roller(2) by connecting or separating the guide roller(2) with or from the slider driving means in response to movement of the slider(10), and a linking means linked with a clamp(3) in response to movement of the slider(10), for clamping or releasing a disk.
