<p>An apparatus for assisting in replacing a windscreen (11) of a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a track member (20) adapted to be located across a vehicle adjacent the base of the windscreen. A support device (30) adapted to releasably attach to the windscreen and to engage and travel along the track member is provided. The support device and the attached windscreen are supported by the track member. Also disclosed are various mounting means, including means (21, 22) for mounting the track member directly to the vehicle, as well as means for supporting the track member from the ground. The apparatus is simple, easily transported, and facilitates safe, one man operating of replacing a windscreen.</p> |
