PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new improved system which generates a 'fingerprint' identifier for uniquely discriminating the object type of a class used for the processing of the object-oriented program, etc. SOLUTION: A fingerprint generation system 20 generates the fingerprint value of an object in object-oriented programming constitution (31). An object is equipped with a digital information stream and the fingerprint generation system 20 generates a fixed-length finger print value from the digital information stream. The fingerprint generation system 20 receives the digital information stream equipped with the object and processes the digital information stream according to selected hash value generation algorithm to generate a hash value equipped with a finger print 24M value.
