PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify the current position of a portable terminal equipment correctly. SOLUTION: A private area is divided into a plurality of division areas, a division area ID is assigned to each division area. A repeater is assigned to each division area and the repeaters are connected to a center computer 41. When the center computer 41 enters an identification number of a portable terminal equipment 60, the repeater sends a call signal. The portable terminal equipment 60 responding to the call signal sends a reply signal and it is received by the repeater. Each repeater detects an electric field strength of the reply signal and the detected electric field strength is sent to the center computer 41. A reference electric field strength pattern is registered in the center computer 41 in advance and the location of the portable terminal equipment 60 is located by pattern matching between the reference electric field strength pattern and the electric field strength pattern depending on the electric field strength sent from the repeater.
