PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely synthesize a plurality of pictures in a short time without the need of a troublesome operation by reducing the plurality of pictures stepwise and extracting stepwise corresponding points in the pictures which they indicate. SOLUTION: A corresponding point extraction part 20 sequentially extracts the corresponding points on reduced picture data in the picture sides of 1/8-fold, 1/4-fold, 1/2-fold and life size on the sizes of the pictures which inputted picture data (a) and (b) show. In this case, prediction is executed in an overlap part by using a converted parameter formed, based on the extraction of the corresponding points, which is executed before. A corresponding point vector selection part 30 selects and outputs only a highly reliable corresponding point vector. A picture conversion/synthesis part 50 coordinate-converts inputted picture data (a) and (b) in accordance with the coordinate conversion parameter estimated in a parameter estimation part 40, synthesizes them and forms synthesized picture data (c) showing the synthesized picture. |
