Positive occurring half waves are deviated by using alternate current influence on the pipeline or the structural steel works and tanks are deviated by using an electrical connection to a protection object with negative potential. The deviation of positive half waves is carried out by an electrical one-way deviation. The process for cathodic corrosion protection of earth embedded cables and pipelines involves electrical isolation coating, particularly gas pipes or pipelines and earth embedded structural steel works and tanks. An Independent claim is included for an apparatus for the above process.
