PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the construction of a converter circuit device compact, by constituting a first stack of switches containing free-wheel diodes and a second stack of a snubber diode and a register, and further coaxially encircling the second stack with an inductor. SOLUTION: A phase module 1 as the arm of a converter is capable of being parallel-connected within the framework in the converter, and contains a series circuit composed of two switches 2 containing free-wheel diodes Df, especially gate turn-off thyristors GTO. The switches 2 as the gate turn-off thyristors GTO containing the free-wheel diodes Df constitute a first stack, and a second stack is formed of a snubber diode Db and a register R. Further, an inductor L coaxially encircles the second stack. Thereby it is possible to make the construction of the converter compact. |
