PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display characters or graphics on a signal recording face of a disk by incorporating photosensitive color developing dyes having such characteristics that give no influences such as reflection and refraction in the wavelength region of laser light into a transparent substrate on the signal recording face. SOLUTION: A reflection layer 2 such as Al is formed on a disk 3 having recesses as recorded signals, and a photosensitive color developing layer 1 prepared by mixing photosensitive dyes in a polycarbonate resin is formed thereon. The photosensitive dyes have such characteristics that dyes are sensitive to light in a visible wavelength region but give no influences such as reflection and refraction on the wavelength region of the laser light (630 to 650nm). Then a dummy substrate having almost same thickness (about 0.6mm) is laminated with an adhesive to the substrate thus prepared. The photosensitive color developing layer 1 is covered with an information sheet 7 and the disk surface is uniformly irradiated with visible rays 6. The information sheet 7 is formed as a 'negative' which transmits visible light 6 in the part to display characters or graphics while it does not transmit light in other part. |
