Moulding press contains a mould shell of metal, having a surface formed by a pattern and bonded, on reverse, to supports. Shell consists of >=2 different metals. Each metal forms 1 of 2 layers. At least one layer is produced by flame- or plasma-spraying or metal sputtering or by ion bombardment and/or by vacuum-plating. One of these metals is ductile. The other metal is bonded to, and reinforces, the ductile metal, so that the metals cannot be sepd. mechanically. Cheap, accurately formed abrasion-resistant moulding presses are formed for compressing sheet- or other material.
|
