<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system to carry background data through an existing packet network and to restore data. SOLUTION: A message packet 130 includes a non-use bit and a message type identifier. A transmission/reception node 100 maintains a non-use bit catalog 125 in which non-use bits of specific message packet types are listed up. In the case that propagation of a message packet type having a non-use bit through a packet network is detected, background data are read out of a transmission background data queue 115, the data are interleaved in a message packet to generate an extended message packet 130' and the packet is transferred through the packet network. A reception node extracts the background data and buffers the data. Thus, the background data transfer device at a low data rate is maintained without giving effect on the performance of the existing packet network.</p> |
