摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an extremely stable microwave output with less jitter and obtain an ultra-short optical pulse train of a repetition frequency by locking the repetition frequency of a higher harmonic regeneration mode synchronous laser pulse oscillator having an excellent low jigger characteristics, in high frequencies to a resonance transition frequency of atoms. SOLUTION: In a laser resonator, an electrostrictive element (PZT) 18 is disposed as a resonator length changing means for changing the resonator length. A clock signal output from a clock extractor 9 is input into a microwave phase modulator 22'. Then, an error signal output from a phase discriminator 27 is fed back to the electrostrictive element (PZT) 18 through a negative feedback control circuit 16 and an electrical amplifier 17. Thereby, the repetition frequency of the higher harmonic regeneration mode synchronous laser pulse oscillator can be locked to a resonance transition frequency of various atoms.
