PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen residual EOG in a dilation catheter after EOG sterilization which is heretofore of a problem and to lower the danger of destruction and dislodgment at the time of use by using polyethylene(PE) as the chief material of a tubular member and polymethyl pentene as the material of an adapter member. SOLUTION: The dilation catheter has the tubular member made of the PE and a balloon integrally formed from its one end. The tubular member 4 made of the PE having the bore larger than the outside diameter of the tubular member 2 is superposed and joined on and to the one end of the side not joined to the tubular member. The part where a part 4A flared to a conical shape and the flared part 5A of the tubular member 5 made of the PE flared at its terminal are superposed is held and fixed by screwing the main body 6 of the adapter made of the polymethyl pentene and an adapter cap 7 made of the polymethyl pentene. The adapter body 6 and the cap 7 are connected by ultrasonic welding. |
