CONTROL OF BISECT SACCHARIDE CHAIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine which can control the proportion of the bisect saccharide chains in the N-bond type saccharide chains of glycoprotein and sustain the medicinal effect by controlling the relative activity ratio of β 1-4- galactose transferase to N-acetylglucosamine transferase III in the cells. SOLUTION: When glycoprotein having N-bonding type saccharide chain is intracellularly produced, the intracellular expression of β 1-4 galactose transferase is controlled to control the relative activity ratio of the β 1-4 galactose transferase to the N-acetylglucosamine transferase III and adjust the proportion of the bisect saccharide chain in the N-bonding type saccharide chain of glycoprotein and control the hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties of the glycoprotein saccharide chain. The cells described above is cultured to obtain the glycoprotein bearing N-bonding type saccharide chain.
