PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silicate-triazine complex improved in mechanical strengths, heat resistance, moldability and dimensional stability by intercalating a specific triazine-based compound derivative into a swelling layered silicic acid salt. SOLUTION: This silicate-triazine complex is obtained by subjecting 1mol triazine-based compound to acid-base reaction with 0.01-3mol Lewis acid compound to afford a triazine-based compound derivative having at least one group having positive charge, intercalating the resultant triazine-based compound derivative into a swelling layered silicic acid salt having 40-150Å<2> /charge density, 7-15Ådistance [d(001)] between bottoms, 50-200mm equivalent/100g cation exchange capacity to afford a silicate-triazine complex. The silicic acid-triazine complex in an amount of 0.1-40wt.% is compounded with a thermoplastic resin in an amount of 99.9-60wt.% to afford the objective flame retardant resin composite. The flame retardant resin composite in an amount of 100 pts.wt. is compounded with a triazine-based compound in an amount of 3-10 pts.wt. to provide a flame-retardant resin composite composition.
