<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a lightweight inorganic board material excellent in water repellency and waterproofness and subject to no mechanical strength drop-off by extrusion molding or papermaking of a kneaded product comprising cement, aggregate and/or reinforcing fibers surface-treated with a specific water repellent, and water. SOLUTION: This method for producing a lightweight inorganic board material comprises incorporation of cement with aggregate and/or reinforcing fibers followed by addition of water, kneading the resultant mixture which, in turn, is subjected to extrusion molding or papermaking process. In this case, the aggregate and/or reinforcing fibers is (are) surface-treated with a silicone-based water repellent in advance. Besides, it is preferable that a hydroxyalkyl cellulose ester as a molding auxiliary is added to the cement in advance.</p> |
