PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to use the module for hemodialysis, blood filtration, hemodialysis filtration and plasma sepn. as a high-performance and/or small-sized module for blood treatment by composing this module of a high polymer which is made hydrophilic and using hollow fiber membrane having an average bore within a prescribed range. SOLUTION: This module for blood treatment is composed of the high polymer which is made hydrophilic and is usually constituted by inserting the bundle of hollow fibers into a cylindrical plastic case, sealing both ends of the hollow fibers with a resin and providing this case with ports for an inlet and outlet so as to pass the blood to the inside of the hollow fibers and a dialyzate, raw diet and filter water to the outside thereof. The bore of the hollow fibers refers to the diameter of the surface of the effective parts in contact with the blood and the average value is adopted as its representative value. The dialysis efficiency is better as the bore is smaller, but if the bore is too small, a pressure drop increases and the actual use is no longer possible or the blood coagulates, leading to the closure of the hollow fibers. The bore of the hollow fibers is consequently required to be >=50μm and to be <=180μm in order to attain the higher performance.
