PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure low power consumption while suppressing drying and uneven temperature in a refrigeration chamber. SOLUTION: A refrigerator is adapted to include a refrigeration cycle where there are connected in order and in cascade a compressor 1, a condenser 2, first pressure reduction means 3, a first evaporator 4, second pressure reduction means 6, a second evaporator 7, a compressor suction tube 9, first and second air fans 12, 13 corresponding to the first and second evaporators, and at least two chambers different in temperature respectively corresponding to the first and second evaporators. In the refrigerator, a bypass piping for bypassing the second pressure reduction means and the second evaporator is provided between an outlet of the first evaporator and the compressor suction tube, and a flow passage changeover means 10 is provided for controlling whether or not a refrigerant passes through the bypass piping, whereby there can be reduced a temperature difference between discharged cold air upon cooling the refrigeration chamber and the temperature in the refrigeration chamber, and any foods can be prevented from being dried to improve cooling efficiency upon cooling of the refrigeration chamber. |
