PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor, having a structure capable of reducing internal resistance with stable and satisfactory reproducibility, and without requiring additional steps. SOLUTION: A capacitor 1 is constructed, such that a capacitor element 5 prepared by laminating or rolling a pair of electrode foils via a separator is put in a bottomed cylindrical sheathing case 2, and an opened end of the case 2 is closed by a closure member 3. The capacitor 1 has a structure, such that the element 5 is fitted into the case 2 via a compression member 6 with respect to the inner surface of the case 2. The member 6 is arranged so that the width of an area near the bottom surface is narrower than that of an area near the closed part of the inner surface of the case 2. |
