PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for applying a coating film on a three- dimensionally curved base material and a method for manufacturing the coating film. SOLUTION: A radiation durable coating layer of the coating film 8 is partially hardened in order to apply the coating film 8 having at least a coating layer 1 and an adhesive layer 4 to eliminate the stickiness thereof before applied on a base, is then subject to irradiation of electromagnetic rays having shorter wavelength than that of a visible spectrum after application and is completely hardened. To manufacture the coating film 8, the coating layer 1 is partially hardened to eliminate stickiness and is stored under this state until application on the base material 5. The coating layer 1 is at least indirectly applied on a smooth supporting base which endlessly rotates, the adhesive layer 4 is provided and the coating layer 1 is pulled apart from a roller.
