PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for crosslinking the film of a composite material containing a mixture in which cellulose fibers are dispersed uniformely into a regenerated cellulose matrix. SOLUTION: A film contains a regenerated cellulose matrix containing uniformely dispersed Manila hemp fibers and a polyethylene oxide plasticizer and is crosslinked. Manila hemp, polyethylene oxide, and a cellulose solvent are mixed with a cellulose solution, the mixture is extruded, cellulose is regenerated from the solution, and a matrix containing Manila hemp fibers is formed, contacted with a crosslinking agent, and dried. |
