PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the loss by a steal of a large-scale integrated device by providing a built-in security mechanism which keep the device unable to function until a password is provided. SOLUTION: For operation, a controller 11 interprets a command sent by an external medium to manage a flash memory 12 and a security register 13, matches a password provided by the external medium so as to unlock the device to match the reliability of a request for data, and then provides data (serial number of the device, user ID number, etc.) for the external medium to control the output port 22 of a core function circuit 21 through a tristate logic circuit 14. In this case, the flash memory 12 includes information such as the password, device serial number, user ID information, a random security challenge, a security session status, and failure information. |
