Bridge joint gap spanning structure - with connecting guide rods ends mounted on vertically movable hinge joints

The joint gap spanning system for bridges and similar structures has components (3), displaceable across the gap between two bridge components (1) and a control device with a guide rod, maintaining constant intervals between the components. The components are connected in each case by a gude rod (20) which can swing in the vertical plane. On each guide-rod one end is mounted in a fixed hinge joint, and the other in a hinge joint which is vertically displaceable against spring action. The ends of paired guide rods may be mounted in a common hinge joint on a displaceable component, which may be vertically movable and spring-loaded.
