The adjustable holder for measuring devices allows readjustment of individual instruments without need for readjustment of adjacent devices. A bar runs parallel to the work piece (14) and carries the support arms (10) for each of the measuring heads (12). Each support arm is attached to a clamping collar (8). The collar has a hexagonal or octagonal centre which fits angled sections (4) of the parallel bar. The bar also has a number of cylindrical sections (6) of smaller diameter which allow the clamping collars and support arms to be rotated to a different angular position. A set screw (16) holds the collar firmly in place. If necessary, the complete bar can be re-adjusted in its end bearing on the vertical support pillar (18).
