The present invention refers to pre-heaters for boilers with flexible seals to avoid gas leakages. The air pre-heaters take advantage of heat from gases produced in a boiler so as to increase temperature of the air entering the boiler, therefore resulting in a more efficient operation such as, for example, vapor generation. Due to the fact that said pre-heater may be considered as a movable heat interchanger, in this case rotative, there is the problem of avoiding that hot gases pass to the cold side or to the air inlet, this has been made so far by a single-piece seal which does not perform the sealing operation properly; according to the present invention, both radial as axial seals exert a sealing function against a central section plate and a plate on the pre-heater casing, respectively, to produce a suitable seal which prevents gases from leaking out, the aforementioned being possible due to the fact that said seals are characterized in that they are flexible and may be calibrated even on an overlapped condition relative to the sealing surface.
