PURPOSE:To correctly execute the density processing of a sample even if the condition of an optical system, e.g. a brightness, changes by executing a variable density picture processing after a normalization by a gray scale. CONSTITUTION:A correlation between a density value G, which indicates the absolute value of the density of every step of the gray scale 1, and a density value D, which appreciates relatively the density of every step of the gray scale 1 in a picture processing device 5, can be shown approximately by a formula I, and the coefficients C0-C3 are obtained by a least squares method. When the picture of the sample 2 is inputted through a lens 3 and a camera 4 into the picture processing device 5, is normalized based on the formula I, and is processed by a variable density processing, the variable density processing not affected by the condition of the optical system, can be performed. |
