摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device, having a high recording frequency and capable of effecting stabilized recording, by a method wherein the particles of a coloring material in a recording liquid supplied to the vicinity of an opening are agglomerated and are separated from the insulating liquid to discharge and form an image on the medium for forming the image. SOLUTION: The crosslinking between ink meniscuses formed on respective openings 43a with each other is prevented by a bulkhead, specifying both sides of a recording liquid recovering groove 57, and an oil repelling surface, provided on the upper surface of the bulkhead, whereby undesired vibration and the disturbance of discharging direction of the ink meniscus 47, which are generated upon the flying of recording particle drops 76, are prevented and stabilized recording is permitted. Further, the diameter of the recording particle drop 76, flied out of the opening 43a, is changed by the value of discharging voltage and the impressing period of time of the voltage. When a recording liquid 70, containing the toner 71 of average grain size 1μm, is used, the diameter of the recording particle drop 76 is changed within the range of about 15-120μm when the discharging voltage is changed within the range of 150-600V.
