PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perceive the contents of a received electronic mail in a short time by extracting the necessary attribute information from the mail to store with expansion the sections of the mail and its receiver, the attendant information, etc., into the header part of the mail and also to display them at a terminal based on the extracted attribute information. SOLUTION: A keyword is previously stored in an attribute information extraction keyword dictionary 30 for extraction of the attribute information which are used as the features of an electronic mail. An attribute information extraction part 35 extracts the attribute information from a header part 30 and a text part 20 which are separately extracted by means of the dictionary 30. Then the attribute information including the sections of the electronic mail and its receiver, the attendant information, etc., are added to a header updating part 50 via the part 10 and also displayed at a terminal 8. Thus, the contents of the received electronic mail can be perceived in a short time. |
