PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dyed product excellent in shape retainability, shrinkage resistance and abrasion resistance by sewing a cellulosic fiber-containing organic fiber structure containing a specific cyclic urea compound, processing the sewed fiber structure with formaldehyde in a gas phase and subsequently dyeing the processed product. SOLUTION: This method for dyeing cellulosic fiber-containing fiber product comprises immersing a cotton woven fabric subjected to a mercerization processing and a liquid ammonia treatment in a processing solution containing a cyclic urea compound having at least two active hydrogen atoms capable of being converted into methylol groups, such as ethylene urea, squeezing the immersed fabric, drying the squeezed fabric to adhere 0.5-5wt.% of the urea component to the fabric, applying a sanforizing processing to the fabric, sewing the treated fabric into a shirt, subjecting the shirt to a gas phase processing using formaldehyde in the presence of a latent acidic catalyst such as magnesium chloride, and subsequently subjecting the processed shirt to a prescribed dyeing treatment. |
