PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a white polyester film excellent in low specific gravity, flexibility, cushionability, adhesivity and high-temperature compressive resistance, easy to dry, and having good printability and adhesivity inherent in the polyester, and to obtain a recelving paper for thermal transfer with the above polyester film as base material. SOLUTION: This white polyester film with an apparent specific gravity of 0.5-1.3 is composed of at least one layer (designated as A layer) consisting of a composition comprising a polyester (a) and a syndiotactic styrene-based polymer (b) and whitened by virtue of containing fine cells inside the A layer. The other objective receiving paper for thermal transfer is such one that the above white polyester film serves as base material. |
