The guide is composed of a first parallelogram guide (4,5,6) and a second parallelogram guide (6,7,8) which are joined and arranged so as to lie one above the other with opposed hinge arms (5 and 7). The hinge joints in the two guides are reciprocally connected to ensure their synchronous movement. Each guide consists respectively of base (4 and 6) as the hinge base for two or more parallel hinge arms (5a,5b and 7a,7b), arranged at mutual spacing and each joined to a base (4,6) at one end and interconnected via a common arm (6 or 8) with the result that base, hinge arms and common arm together form an arm-slidable parallelogram guide. The first/guide parallel arm (6) forms the base (6) of the second guide so that a movement of the other parallel arm (8) necessarily moves the two guides together. The hinge arms (5 and 7) of the two arms of the parallel guides operate in opposing directions but are of the same length so that the second arm (8) is offset to one side of its base (4) and adopts variable positions in relation to this base. The hinge arm sets are on different levels to give a scissor type movement without blocking one another simply by moving the parallel guide system between its outermost positions. |
