PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing a failure caused by the moisture absorption of a member inside the device without using a special device such as a dew-condensation preventing heater, etc. SOLUTION: When a main switch is turned on, absolute humidity in the device is detected by a humidity sensor. The rotating time of an image carrier 3 is decided in accordance with the detected absolute humidity. In the case it is equal to or under the absolute humidity 19[g/m3], a black stripe level is not generated and the image carrier 3 need not be rotated. In the case of detecting that the detected level by the humidity sensor is the absolute humidity equal to or above a certain value(the absolute humidity causing the failure), the temperature of a fixing device 7 is raised to a previously set one, and then the image carrier 3 is rotated and other devices perform start-up operation. By raising the temperature of the device 7 and the temperature of other devices, relative humidity is lowered and the moisture of a substance adhering to an entrance seal is evaporated. |
