PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain various kinds hygienic paper which has flexibility, proper dry strength and wet strength and absorption properties by making paper from a mixture of unbeaten, or very slightly beaten vegetable pulp, as a main component, with swelling cellulose and a wet paper-strengthening agent. SOLUTION: To a slurry of unbeaten or very slightly beaten pulp of vegetable fibers, is added at least one kind of swelling cellulose selected from a stationary cultured bacterial cellulose or aerobically spinner-cultured bacterial cellulose in an amount of 0.1-5.0wt.%, preferably 0.1-3.0wt.%, more preferably 0.1-1.0wt.% based on the pulp, as the bacterial cellulose is sufficiently defiberized. In addition, a wet paper-strengthening agent of an epoxidized amide polyamine resin is admixed to the pulp mixture in amount of 0.01-0.2wt.%, preferably 0.05-0.1wt.% and the mixed slurry is subjected to the wet process of paper making whereby the objective hygienic paper is obtained. |
