PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens position controller where the feel of use is enhanced by improving lens operation in the case of combining and using a preset function and a zone changeover function. SOLUTION: When a focus preset driving instruction is designated (101), a zone changeover SW (limiter) is monitored. In an on-state, operation progresses to (104), and in an off-state, it shows the driving of all the range, so that the operation progresses to (105) to perform specified FP operation, and is returned to ordinary routine (107). When it is preset within the range or preset from the outside of the range to the inside of the range even in the case of zone changeover, the FP operation is performed (104→105, 106→105). Meanwhile, in the case the destination of focus preset driving instructed at present is out of the range selected by the zone changeover SW, the opreation is returned to the ordinary routine without performing the FP operation (106→107).
