<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out error-correcting and data-buffering with the use of only one memory instead of separate memories. SOLUTION: A first area has a count of units obtained by subtracting a unit number Y of a sector finishing a data read/write at the desk-rambling time from a unit number X of a sector finishing an error correction. A second area has a count of units obtained by subtracting a unit number Z of a sector finishing a data from the unit number Y. A third area has a count of units obtained by subtracting the unit number Z from a unit number W of a sector finishing a demodulated data write. A memory 320 is controlled to detect the first-third areas so that a W pointer does not exceed a Z pointer, the Z pointer does not exceed a Y pointer, and X and Y pointers do not exceed the W and X pointers respectively.</p> |
