PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a semiconductive foam low in variance of electric resistivity and excellent in transferability, compressive resistance and photoreceptor contamination resistance, comprising two kinds of high molecular elastomer and electroconductivity-imparting particles which are dispersed more in one of the elastomers than in the other. SOLUTION: This semiconductive foam comprises (A) a high molecular elastomer, (B) another polymeric elastomer, and (C) electroconductive-imparting particles (e.g. highly electroconductive carbon black), wherein the component C is dispersed more in the component A than in the component B. The component A is pref. higher in affinity for the component C than the component B. Preferably, the crosslinking reaction in the component A differs from that in the component B. Specifically, the component A and the component B are pref. an acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer rubber and an epoxy-contg. acrylic rubber, respectively. This semiconductive foam is obtained by kneading the component A with the component C to produce a master batch followed by crosslinking the component B while kneading the master batch with the component B and then by conducting an expansion molding while crosslinking the component A. |
