PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synthetic timber, prominent in the slip preventing property of the surface thereof, by a method wherein a linear slip preventing layer, consisting of a thermoplastic elastomer, is formed on the surface of a substrate, consisting of a foamable synthetic resin material, and the woodgrain pattern is represented by the slip preventing layer. SOLUTION: A substrate 1 is constituted of a foamable synthetic resin material. Slip preventing layers 2 are buried into a plurality of pieces of recessed grooves on the surface of the substrate 1 with a proper interval. Further, the recessed grooves 11 are parallel to the surface of the substrate and are provided with a linear shape. The slip preventing layer 2 is constituted of a thermoplastic elastomer. The slip preventing layers 2 are filled into and integrated with the recessed grooves 11, formed on the surface of the substrate 1 through simultaneous molding upon molding the substrate 1 by a molding machine, so as to represent a woodgrain pattern. |
