PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carrier in which even a sample liquid in an inaccurate quantity can be applied and which prevents the result of a false positive from being generated by a method wherein a reticulate texture which covers a detecting layer is formed of a multi thread knitted cloth in which a thread facing the detecting layer is coarse and in which a thread not facing the detecting layer is smooth. SOLUTION: A reticulate texture 4 which covers a detecting layer 3 is formed of a multi thread knitted cloth, and the knitted cloth is formed in such a way that the side of its thread facing the detecting layer 3 is highly coarse and that the side of its thread not facing the detecting layer 3 is comparatively smooth. Then, the region of the reticulate texture 4 existing on the detecting layer 3 is made free by a cover foil 9 which is coupled to a support layer 2, and the region 6 of the reticulate texture 4 which is extended to cross the detecting layer 3 is covered. By this constitution, when a sample liquid which sufficiently saturates the detecting layer 3 is applied to the side not facting the detecting layer 3 of the reticulate texture 4 guides the excess sample liquid into the region 6 from the detecting layer 3, a change in the color of the detecting layer 3 can be observed precisely, and a false positive due to the long-term contact is prevented. |
