PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a spent sorbent and to produce a restored sorbent. SOLUTION: A spent sorbent is brought into contact with a zinc compsn. contg. zinc oxide or a precursor of zinc oxide to form a contact compsn. This contact compsn. is dried at about 25-375 deg.C for about 1min to about 24hr and the resultant dry contact compsn. is fired at about 400-800 deg.C for about 1min to about 24hr to produce the objective restored sorbent. |
