PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the suction restoring device of an ink jet recording apparatus simplified in constitution by eliminating a slide part and having high airtightness. SOLUTION: A capping device covering the nozzles of an ink jet head and the suction restoring pump 1 connected to the capping device through a valve 10 to suck ink are provided. When the vol. in the bellows 2 of the suction restoring pump 1 increases, a vacuum space is formed therein and the valve 10 is opened to suck ink from the nozzles of the ink jet head through the capping device. When the vol. in the bellows 2 is reduced, a hermetically closed space generating a high pressure state therein is formed to open a valve 14 to discharge sucked ink. |
