PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high durability. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer formed by successively laminating an electric charge generating layer contg an org. electric charge generating material, and an electric charge transferring layer contg. an org. electric charge transferring material on the electrically conductive substrate. The ratio [Abs(420)/Abs (Max)] of absorbance at 420nm in the absorption spectrum of the org. electric charge transferring material to the max. absorbance is <0.2, the thickness of the photosensitive layer is >=28μand a blocking layer exists between the photosensitive layer and the electrically conductive substrate.
