PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stain proofness and wear resistance of a decorative paper by a method wherein a first OP layer made of a first material, which is prepared by compounding an alumina powder having a specified particle diameter with a resin, is laminated onto the patterned printed surface of a base paper and then a second OP layer made of a second material, which is prepared by compounding a slip agent and an alumina powder having a specified particle diameter with a resin, is laminated on the first OP layer. SOLUTION: Onto a printed patterned layer 11 surface of a base paper 10, a first OP layer 12 made of a first material, which is prepared by compounding an alumina powder having a particle diameter of 2-10μm with a resin, is laminated. Further, on the first OP layer 12, a second OP layer 13 made of a second material, which is prepared by compounding a slip agent and an alumina powder having an average particle diameter of 2-10μm with a resin, is laminatingly formed. As the base paper 10, kraft paper, reinforced paper, resin-impregnated paper or the like is employed. The patterned printed layer 11 is formed by means of offset printing, gravure printing, screen printing or the like. Furthermore, as the slip agent, paraffin, wax or publicly known slip agent such as polysiloxane, stearic acid or the like is employed. As a result, excellent wear resistance and stain proofness are obtained and the mass production of the decorative paper becomes possible.
