<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline storage battery which excels in the anti- vibrational performance, has a low internal resistance, and exerts a heightened operating voltage in discharging. SOLUTION: A current collecting lead plate 6 is welded to a seal 7 at two points or more. This enlarges the mechanical strength of the current collecting part and allows suppression of the internal resistance of the battery through increase in the number of welding spots. After formation of the first welded part A through welding of the lead plate 6 to the seal 7, the opening of a battery case 5 is sealed with the seal 7, and the unwelded portion of the lead plate 6 is welded to the contacting part with the undersurface of the seal 7 by feeding the current to the positive and the negative external terminal of the battery, and thus the second welded part B is formed. This enables decrease in the number of welding spots in sealing.</p> |
