<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent uneven wearing of a pad by an influence of moment of a caliper without changing thickness of its pawl part. SOLUTION: A disk brake has a constitution of caliper floating type supporting a caliper 12 slidably by using a pin 14 to a carrier 11 fixed to a non-rotary part of a vehicle. Here, a pawl part 19 of the caliper 12 pressing an outer pad 16 is offset by a prescribed distance S to a leading side of a disk rotor D from the center of a piston 21 internally mounted in a cylinder part 17 of the caliper 12, moment generated in the caliper 12 at braking time is negated by moment applied to the outer pad 16 by the offset, a surface pressure of the outer pad 16 is fixed in a leading/trailing side.</p> |
