摘要 |
The nuclear installation comprises a reactor tank (1) surrounding a reactor core (2) and a coolant flowing through the core, and devices that allow boron to be introduced into the coolant, the boron being introduced and distributed in a bottom part of the tank. The figure shows a reactor tank for a BWR-type reactor which has a reactor tank (1), reactor core (2), fall gap (3), fuel cartridges (4), control rods (5), control rod tube (6), control rod manoeuvring device (7), and coolant water circulation passages (8). - Also claimed is a process used to shut down the above nuclear installation by using the above method to add boron to the coolant in order to reduce radioactivity levels in the core. |
