PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back face printing method for a V-ribbed belt making little noise even when used for a system in which a pulley comes in pressure contact with the back face of the belt. SOLUTION: This method of printing the back face of the V-ribbed belt B using a cylindrical mandrel 6 with outer peripheral surface formed with a recessed part 60 with depth and width of the same or almost the same dimensions as the thickness and width of a heat transfer film 4, comprises a sticking process for fitting to stick the heat transfer film 4 into the recessed part 60 of the mandrel 6 in the form of printed characters 40 facing outside, a mounting process for mounting canvas 1, core wires 2 and belt body rubber 3 in this order on the mandrel 6 with the heat transfer film 4 stuck thereto, a molding process for vulcanization-molding by heating and pressurizing after the mounting process, and a separating process for peeling off the heat transfer film 4 after the molding process.
